Public, educational and cultural television stations in Latin America join the Our Windows, Our World campaign. An initiative of Pakapaka with the support of Unicef and the TAL Network
The unexpected world scene, which in a few days was built by COVID-19, found us working together for prevention and for the containment of children from all over the continent. In this sense, we open this space for them to express themselves: the Our Windows, Our World project, a proposal by the Argentine children's channel Pakapaka, with the support of Unicef and TAL, to accompany this unusual experience of compulsory isolation dictated in various countries of the region and build artistically and collectively.
In different ways, and in different latitudes, millions of boys and girls are simultaneously experiencing the unexpected experience of isolation. Sharing this experience is a way to go through this stage thinking with others and building new collective senses. Our Windows, Our World encourages the boys and girls of each region to share drawings, paintings or illustrations that tell how the world is seen through their window. With all the windows of each corner of the continent that Latin American television channels receive, we will make a great sample of our community of channels, led in this case by Pakapaka and accompanied by Unicef.
Starting with artists, and then extending the invitation to girls and boys, it is proposed that each person share a drawing, painting or illustration that tells how the world looks through their window. Windows can be real or imaginary.
